Police are seeking a travel ban for Cho Hyun-min, also known as Emily Cho, 35, a Korean Air senior vice president, after her violent tantrum at a recent meeting.

The Seoul Gangseo Police Station said Tuesday it had asked the prosecution to consider a travel ban for Cho, who allegedly splashed water in the face of an advertising executive.

Cho, whose sister Cho Hyun-ah (Heather Cho), who made world headlines for the 2014 "nut rage" incident, is accused of throwing a cup of water in the face of the manager of HS AD, a Korean Air advertising agency, at her Seoul office.

Police said some people who attended the meeting testified that she threw a cup of water. It is still unclear whether she aimed it at the manager.

If the accusation is true, she could be prosecuted for assault.

After the incident came into the spotlight, she apologized. But public anger against what seems to be another case of corporate "gapjil" ― bullying the weak in a hierarchical structure ― remains strong.

More than 70,000 people have signed a petition on the Cheong Wa Dae website, asking the government to stop Korean Air from using "Korea" in its name.
