Four former BEAST members are in hot water for allegedly receiving preferential treatment at Dongshin University in Naju, South Jeolla Province.

Yoon Doo-joon, Lee Gi-kwang, Yong Jun-hyung and Jang Hyun-seung entered the college in 2010, and were granted full scholarships, according to SBS Sunday.

The quartet reportedly missed most classes, but still graduated in 2014.

"The members could not attend the entire classes but they did take part in some courses, took examinations and were diligently involved in additional events," said Around US Entertainment, agent for the boy group Highlight, formed by five former BEASTs.

The five members of BEAST ― Yoon Doo-joon, Lee Gi-kwang, Yong Jun-hyung, Yang Yo-seob and Son Dong-woon ― refused to re-sign with Cube Entertainment and relaunched as Highlight in 2017.

Only Jang Hyun-seung remained with Cube.

Around US added: "The university decided to give BEAST special scholarships because the group would enhance the school's prestige."

Dongshin also claimed that BEAST members did not get special treatment.
