The Hankook Ilbo, the sister paper of The Korea Times, is holding an anti-addiction contest with the purpose of reducing non-drug addiction, including those related to gambling, smartphones and online games. The competition is sponsored by Kangwon Land and the Kangwon Land Addiction Care Center (KLACC).
The contest aims to draw public attention to the harmful consequences of non-drug addictions, and to discover the preventive strategies and positive initiatives of people who have overcome these to promote and encourage everyone to avoid getting trapped in a cycle of addiction.
There are four categories for contestants ― User Creative Content (UCC) videos, posters, webtoons, and slogans and calligraphy. All submissions should be original works. The award-winning pieces will be widely used in a nationwide campaign to prevent addiction.
Qualifications: Koreans living in Korea can participate as individuals or teams of up to three people.
Theme: Raising awareness and a warning of the dangers and side effects of non-drug addictions, including gambling, smart phones and video games
