The COEX Aquarium is running two underwater performances for Christmas and they are receiving rave reviews.

One is a unique mermaid show and the other is about characters from a British animated series, both of which are scheduled to run through Dec. 25.

The "Mermaid Performance" is designed to allow visitors to experience an under-the-sea Christmas and it features divers dressed as a mermaid and Santa Claus and various sea creatures. It also has 20,000 sardines.

The show is performed once a day from Tuesday to Friday at 4:30 p.m. and twice on weekends and holidays at 6 p.m. as well as 4:30 p.m.

The other is in collaboration with the Octonauts, in which divers clad in costumes from the television animation's characters perform.

The aquarium has two shows a day from Tuesday to Sunday at 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
