K-pop rookie Chung Ha has topped five major domestic TV music charts with her new solo song "Gotta Go" released on Jan. 2.

The singer, 22, has ranked 1st three times on MBC ― twice on main MBC channel and once on its music-only channel MBC Music ― and once on KBS, SBS and Mnet.

"I am so happy because there are so many grateful things happening to me this year," Chung Ha said, holding the champion trophy on KBS2 TV's "Music Bank," aired Friday. "This solo gig is more meaningful (to me), especially thanks to my fan club Byulharang."

She debuted in 2016 as a member of the now-defunct 11-member project girl band I.O.I.

The chart-topping song presents Chung Ha's "sexy, deep and serious" aspects that were missing in her previous hit songs such as "Why Don't You Know (2017)," "Roller Coaster (2018)" and "Love You (2018)," which were bright or cute.

Meanwhile, the song is off to a flying start on
Billboard's World Digital Song Sales, ranking sixth in the third week of January.
