Girl band Mamamoo's Hwasa is set to test her talents in the TV home shopping business.

Sources say she will be promoting a food product as the brand's model on a TV home shopping channel, jumping on the now-trending "shoppertainment" bandwagon.

The programs aim to entertain and hopefully attract more buyers, running like a live comedy stage show.

The product Hwasa will promote is a ready-made food that is easily prepared at home.

Hwasa became famous for her love of food when she appeared on the MBC reality show "I Live Alone." There she made viewers' mouths water by devouring pork tripe, one of her favorite foods.

After the segment aired, pork tripe restaurants across the nation had a sudden surge in customers, leading to a shortage of ingredients for the dish. She also contributed to an increase in sales of soy sauce marinated crab, seaweed chips and tongue sole.
