Actor Ahn Jae-wook has been caught driving under the influence.
A police source told a local news outlet on Sunday that he was pulled over with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit under which his license will be suspended.
Ahn, 48, was on his way back to Seoul from Jeonju on Sunday morning after completing his schedule in Jeonju late on Saturday. He admitted drinking alcohol with his friend at a restaurant near his hotel that night.
His agency told the newspaper that Ahn was deeply conscious of his responsibility and apologized for his behavior.
"We will swiftly discuss what will be done with his already set schedules and come up with ways that will not inconvenience his co-workers," the agency said.
Ahn Jae-wook debuted with broadcaster MBC in 1994. He rose to stardom with the 1997 TV drama "Star in My Heart." He has also released albums and held numerous concerts across Asia.
