"Uploading rumors on social media, causing a stir and victimizing someone, then just deleting the post."

One internet user criticized TV personality and socialite Amy for her unrueful attitude after falsely accusing singer and producer Wheesung of planning to rape her. The alleged plot included filming the sexual assault in order to use it to threaten her against talking to the police or the press.

All during the weekend, Wheesung, also founder and president of Realslow Entertainment, has topped the most-searched names on the nation's largest internet portal Naver.

He "made the unwanted rankings" after he disclosed himself as the man Amy implicated in her Instagram post. He denied the allegations and claimed innocence.

To support his claim, Wheesung uploaded two YouTube files of himself having phone conversations with Amy and an unnamed, mutual male friend.

In the voice recording, Amy admitted what she did was wrong and asked Wheesung to forgive her.

In a weeping voice, Wheesung said he was painted as a sex offender and Amy's reckless behavior put his career at risk. He said he canceled his forthcoming concert and has to pay a cancellation charge for breach of contract.

He demanded Amy take measures to right the wrong.

Speaking to Amy about the damage to his career he said, "I don't know what to do. How should I lead the rest of my life? I don't know if I can continue to sing for a living." Because of his tarnished image, he said there are more financial burdens he needs to shoulder.

Wheesung also disclosed the recordings of phone conversations with his and Amy's mutual male friend whose name was not revealed. The mutual friend backed Wheesung and said he hadn't heard anything about the alleged plan to make a video recording of the attempted rape.

Amy admitted she was reckless, vowing to "reverse things" without detailing her action plan.

She deleted her Instagram post. But as of Sunday, she has not taken any further measures to right the wrong.

While staying mum on the case, she posted her image with the message, "Let's lose weight and go back."

This invited a slew of criticism from internet users.

The Amy-bashing has been continuing on the internet since Friday.

One wrote "Amy, you are saying sorry after destroying another person's career." Another commented, "Childish Amy is a curse to Wheesung." Another respondent described Amy as "a spoiled brat" who always makes a noise for attention.

Some raised their eyebrows at the socialite for her childish, irresponsible behavior.

They accused Amy of being the type of reckless person who spreads rumors and victimizes people but feels no regret even after the accusations turn out to be baseless.

Since she debuted in 2008 as a TV personality through Olive TV's reality program "Wicked Girl's Diary" season 3, Amy drew attention for her luxurious lifestyle. On TV, she showed off her family's high-end three-story home in Seoul's posh area of Hannam-dong and their collections of European antique furniture and dishes.

Despite the brief attention, her career in show business was short-lived as she was mired in drug abuse scandals.

In the past, Amy said Wheesung was her soulmate and the two have been friends for 13 years.

She changed her position abruptly last week with her Instagram post.

She claimed she had been injected propofol shots along with the singer, identified only as Mr. X initially, and she was also with him when they illegally used Zolpidem together, a medication used for the short-term treatment of sleeping problems.

Claiming their unnamed mutual friend warned her about the rape plot, she wrote that Wheesung planned to rape her and film the act so that he could use the video to blackmail her not to reveal their past drug abuse.

She said it's unfair that she is paying the price for her misdeed but Wheesung is still on TV and his career remained intact, even though they both used drugs together.

In 2012, Amy got an eight-month jail term suspended for two years. She was deported in 2015 on the charge of illegally using prohibited drug Zolpidem while her jail term was suspended.

Wheesung was questioned by the military prosecution on suspicion of illegal use of propofol in 2013 while he was serving his military service. He submitted a medical certificate confirming that he used propofol for medical treatment, which was accepted and cleared him of the charge.
