Former BIGBANG member Seungri has admitted having sex with prostitutes.
Broadcaster Channel A reported Saturday that Seungri, 28, made the admission during a hearing on his arrest warrant at Seoul Central District Court on May 14.
"It is correct that I paid for having sex with an employee of an adult establishment. I regret it … As a celebrity, it was hard for me to admit that charge previously," he was quoted as saying.
It is unclear how many times he received illicit sex services.
But Seungri denied allegations of more serious offenses, including procuring prostitutes for foreign investors in his club "Burning Sun" and embezzling 500 million won ($420,000) from company accounts.
A person found guilty of procuring prostitutes could face up to seven years in prison or a fine of up to 70 million won ($59,000).
