Singer/songwriter Lee Seung-hwan has rewritten Korea's music history by holding a concert that lasted for a staggering nine hours and 30 minutes.

Lee, 53, belted out 93 songs during the "LAST PPADAY" concert at Korea University's Hwajung Gymnasium, which lasted from 4 p.m. Saturday to 4:10 a.m. Sunday. More than 3,000 fans packed the venue. Lee's agency said the concert had only two intermissions.

The previous record was eight hours and 27 minutes, also set by Lee in 2016.

He completed the concert without celebrity guests who normally take to the stage to give an exhausted singer a break.

"I don't stick to the state I had yesterday. I keep evolving," Lee said after the concert. "It was possible because of my fans and staff members."

Lee plans to release his 12th album on Oct. 15 to celebrate the 30thanniversary of his debut.

Lee, who began in 1989, is widely known as the "King of Live Performances" for his frequent, long solo concerts. He has held more than 1,000 concerts.
