Don't miss out on the rare chance to enjoy live classical music concerts combined with popular animations by Disney and Pixar. The three-night "Disney-Pixar Film Concert Festival," will be held from July 24 to 26 at the Lotte Concert Hall in southern Seoul.

The first night's concert is titled "Coco in Concert," as the Korea Coop Orchestra will play the soundtrack of the 2017 animated feature "Coco." The film won a Golden Globe for Best Animated Motion Picture and the Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and Best Original Song.

The warm-humored film based around the contemplative issues of death and family received rave reviews not only for its thought-provoking plot, but also its jovial Mexican-inspired music. The memorable soundtrack by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino will be performed live under the baton of Christopher Lee, as audiences watch scenes from the animated film on the screen above the stage.

On the second night, "Pixar in Concert," audiences can listen to and watch highlights from various animated films by Pixar Studio. Songs and scenes to be played have been selected from 14 features, including "Toy Story," "Finding Nemo," "Inside Out" and "Ratatouille," and will be played by the Korea Coop Orchestra with conductor James Junghyun Cho.

From Pixar's first animated feature "Toy Story" in 1995 to recent films such as "Finding Dory" in 2016 and "Incredibles 2" in 2018, their animated films have entertained both children and adults around the world for more than two decades and won numerous accolades, including 15 Academy Awards, 9 Golden Globes and 11 Grammys. Audience members can revisit these classic animations at the concert.

The last night is titled "Fantasia Live," reproducing Walt Disney's legendary 1940 feature "Fantasia." This historic film was the first animated film that attempted to visualize classical music masterpieces by great composers, such as Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky, with innovative and imaginative imagery that was ahead of its time.

Conducted by Christopher Lee, Ditto Orchestra will play Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite," Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," Dukas' "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," and more. Audiences can also watch highlights from "Fantasia 2000," which was Disney's updated version released that year that introduced eight classical music pieces, paying homage to the classic film.
