Hyundai Motor, BMW, Ford and Maserati will voluntarily recall more than 10,813 vehicles due to manufacturing defects, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Thursday.

Affected vehicles include the Genesis EQ900 and G80, BMW 535i and M3, Ford Lincoln Continental and Mondeo, and Maserati GranTurismo.

Regarding Hyundai Motor vehicles ― 3,851 EQ900s and 1,129 G80s ― the ministry said they contained risks of fire due to oil pipe leaks.

For BMW cars, the ministry said the carmaker will recall 2,671 535is over the risk of engine failure, while 290 M3s are being recalled for electric unit errors. BMW Korea has recalled 535is in 2016 due to the same reason, but a recent investigation found more vehicles at risk.

For Ford, the ministry cited faulty door operating equipment in 1,930 Lincoln Continentals, and 916 Mondeos failed to have regulation rear lights.

The Maserati GranTrisumo will be recalled due to the risk of an electronic control unit failure in air bags.

Hyundai Motor, BMW Korea and Ford Sales and Service Korea will begin the recalls for free fixes today. Maserati has been recalling its vehicles since Wednesday.
