Online shopping platform provider Cafe24 has joined with Taiwan FamilyMart to promote popular Korean e-commerce brands through Taiwan FamilyMart's mobile app, the Korean company said Tuesday.
App users who tap on posts featuring K-style goods will be instantly connected to the product checkout page.
This is expected to increase shopping convenience significantly and exert positive influence on sales of Korean e-commerce stores in Taiwan.
Korean brands will also be introduced through FamilyMart's Facebook Page, "FamiPort," via live broadcast.
"Hallyu's rising popularity in Taiwan is furthering consumer interest in K-style," Cafe24 CEO Lee Jae-suk said. "Cafe24 will actively support Korean e-commerce stores selling in Taiwan so that they can succeed."
Cafe24 and Taiwan FamilyMart signed a memorandum of understanding in April to provide Taiwanese shoppers with a package pick-up service from convenience store locations for orders made on Cafe24's online stores.
Established in 1999, Cafe24 offers a one-stop service complete with its online shopping store building system, advertising and marketing, so anyone can conduct online business in the global market.
