About 8,600 lovers of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) in Korea flocked to Olympic Park on Friday, where The Chainsmokers, a top-tier American EDM duo, staged their ground-shaking "The Chainsmokers Live in Seoul" gig.

It was more like a festival than a concert. Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall did not even take a minute's break during the 180-minute gig, giving off endless energy that the audience loved. Dazzling lasers in all colors heightened the party mood.

"(I am) happy to be back in this beautiful city again," Taggart said, as he welcomed the audience.

The duo opened the concert with its flagship number "Takeaway." Also included was a string of the pair's hit songs including "Call You Mine," "Sick Boy" and "Who Do You Love."

But the excitement was at its peak when the pair performed its 2016 smash-hit "Closer," which topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart for 12 consecutive weeks.

Concertgoers stood up, sang along and danced intensely as if they were one. Although singer Halsey ― who featured on the track ― was not on the stage, her absence was filled by the audience.

But for the security guards, it was the most alarming moment. They had to keep their eyes on the audience for safety issues.

"I was wondering if you guys have energy for one more song, but you definitely seem to have," Taggart said after the fascinating "Closer" performance. He even took his T-shirt off later on, joining the passionate crowd.

Taggart and Pall then commanded the stage with "This Feeling" and "Something Just Like This," wrapping up the Seoul gig. Although people cried for an encore, it was not to be this time.
