Some BTS fans are skeptical about the band's agency Big Hit denying that the band's lead vocalist Jungkook is dating.
Rumors about Jungkook's romance went viral when a netizen posted CCTV footage of a man hugging a woman from behind in an online community forum.
The agency confirmed the man in the footage was Jungkook on Geoje Island in South Gyeongsang Province but rebutted speculation that they were lovers, threatening to take legal action against the rumormongers for violating the singer's privacy.
The fans didn't agree.
"It seems weird to hug a friend from behind," a fan wrote on an online community.
Another commented, "I cannot trust what the agency said. Everyone except me seems so generous about an idol star's physical contact with a woman."
Others showed their unchanged love for the global phenomenon.
"It doesn't matter, even if the rumor is true. Please take legal action against those who infringed on his privacy," a fan said.
"The two in the footage merely seemed to be friends," another said.
Meanwhile, BTS will perform in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Oct 11, as a part of their world tour "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself."
