The globally renowned K-pop girl band member's resident registration number and other private information on her passport, according to the Korean show business powerhouse, were photographed, released online and shared, according to JYP. The company said such an act violated the country's Personal Information Protection Act.
Dahyun was at Korea's Gimpo Airport to leave for Japan on Sunday. The nine-member band with three Japanese members was scheduled to film New Year's Eve TV special "Kohaku Uta Gassen" at NHK
Amid a crowd of fans, the star arrived at a security checkpoint where she had to show her passport. When she opened the passport, according to reports, a person next to her photographed a page containing personal information.
She reportedly covered the passport with her hand, but only after it had been photographed.
