YG's K-pop band Big Bang is set to break its hiatus by performing at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.

Coachella announced Friday that the four-member act ― minus Seung-ri ― would be among its 2020 lineup, setting off a guessing game on whether the appearance will be a prelude to the scandal-ridden boy group's comeback.

Big Bang will perform on April 10 and 17. The festival spans two weekends from April 10 to 12 and from April 17 to 19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Korean hip-hop group Epik High will also perform.

Big Bang's last song "Flower Road" was released in March 2018. The group then took a break after its members all enlisted in the army. However, local media started speculating that the group would break up after its image was severely tarnished in a string of scandalous incidents involving its members.

In 2018, former member Seung-ri left the group amid a criminal investigation against him in the "Burning Sun probe," named after the night club in which the K-pop star was believed to have been heavily involved managerially.

With the latest gambling accusations against him, Seung-ri now faces charges including soliciting prostitution and embezzlement, among others.

T.O.P admitted using marijuana while serving as a conscripted policeman, for which received two years' probation. G-Dragon failed to adjust during the military service. Daesung has just been cleared of allegations that he allowed prostitution at his Gangnam property. T.O.P, G-dragon, Daesung and Taeyang have completed their mandatory service.
