The 2020 FACE of Bangladesh was held on Feb. 16 at the La Vita Hall, Lakeshore Hotel, in Dhaka.

The event is an annual regional modeling competition held before the FACE of Asia finals in Seoul in June.

Four contestants ― Umme Hasfa Mou, Smiriti Akter, Nahid Khan and Alamin Ahmed Akash ― have been chosen to represent Bangladesh in the finals. They will compete against winners from more than 20 Asian countries.

FACE of ASIA, the largest model-hunt platform in Asia, is part of the 15th Asia Model Festival (AMF) that will be held in Seoul in June.

The contest was co-hosted by the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC) and KORBAN, the Bangladeshi partner of AMFOC.

Sponsors include the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Seoul Tourism Organization, The Korea Times and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The finalists of the FACE of Bangladesh contest were given the chance to hold performances with renowned choreographer and celebrity stylist Mahmudul Hasan Mukul, and hold shows for popular designer brands Nizhu Rose and Shagufta Butterfly.

AURA Beauty Lounge, fashion magazine ICE Today, and the BLOOM Model Management & Creative Agency participated in this year's event.

Twenty-five countries ― Korea, China, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh and Taiwan ― will compete at the Asia Model Festival.
