Dongwon F&B's red ginseng extract products are gaining popularity as there is an increasing need to maintain a healthy immune system due to the spread of COVID-19, the company said Monday.
The company said more people are focusing on the positive effects of taking red ginseng extracts that contain ginsenosides and other materials that help people fight fatigue, boost the immune system and promote healthy blood circulation.
"Dongwon F&B's Cheonjiin Hongsamjeong Myeongjak is a premium product that contain extracts from 10 roots of carefully selected six-year-old red ginseng that is classified as 'jisam,'" the company said.
Red ginseng is classified into different grades and jisam means red ginseng that is categorized in in top 3 percent of quality, according to Dongwon F&B.
The Cheonjiin Hongsamjeong Myeongjak is 100 percent concentrated red ginseng. As it only uses water with no other additives the product maximizes the content of saponin and acidic polysaccharide, active ingredients that are effective in increasing immunity levels.
Dongwon F&B launched the red ginseng product in 2007. Based on the company's knowhow for product quality management and manufacturing capabilities, Dongwon F&B has offered red ginseng extracts across various price ranges.
The firm said it could offer red ginseng extracts with reasonable prices because it manages the entire manufacturing process starting from product procurement. The company directly purchases red ginseng from growers and uses a natural drying manufacturing process at its plant in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province.
"We produce our products by naturally drying red ginseng with sunlight. We only sell products that pass more than 200 rigorous quality tests in a bid to guarantee the taste and the effectiveness," the firm said.
In addition to Cheonjiin Hongsamjeong Myeongjak, Dongwon F&B also sells Cheonjiin Hongsamjeong Mijak for menopausal women and the Cheonjiin Hongsamjeong Yejak for people seeking products with red ginseng extract at a reasonable price.
The Mijak is a highly-concentrated product that is designed to help improve immunity, overcome fatigue, enhance blood circulation and support memory function as well as the health of menopausal women. For people who take the Yejak, they can ingest 17.1 milligrams of ginsenosides Rg1, Rb1 and Rg3 in their daily consumption.
