K-pop diva HyunA has postponed the release of her single "GOOD GIRL" — initially set for Aug. 26 — due to health concerns.
K팝 디바 현아가 건강상의 문제로 인해 당초 8월 26일로 예정되었던 싱글 ‘굿걸'의 발매를 연기했다.
HyunA, who has been preparing to release the song and her first full-length album, recently fainted several times due to vasovagal syncope, her record label P NATION said Saturday. Vasovagal syncope is a condition caused by triggers such as intense emotional distress. the triggers cause heart rate and blood pressure to drop suddenly.
소속사 피네이션 측은 토요일 신곡과 첫 정규앨범 발매를 준비해온 현아가 최근 미주신경성 실신으로 여러 차례 실신했다고 밝혔다. 미주신경성 실신은 극심한 정서적 괴로움 같은 자극 때문에 야기되는 질환이다. 이러한 자극은 심장박동과 혈압을 갑자기 낮춰버린다.
HyunA disclosed last year that in addition to the fainting she has been suffering from depression and panic disorder. "I came to talk about my conditions to ease the burden," she wrote on her Instagram in 2019.
현아는 지난해 실신 외에도 우울증과 공황장애를 겪고 있다고 밝힌 바 있다. 그녀는 2019년 자신의 인스타그램에 "부담을 덜기 위해 나의 상태를 고백한다"고 적었다.
P NATION said in a statement that it was decided the artist needed more treatment and rest at this time.
소속사 피네이션 측은 성명을 통해 현아에게 더 많은 치료와 휴식이 필요하다는 결론이 나왔다고 밝혔다.
"We will temporarily delay the release of a fresh single until HyunA recovers," the statement said.
"현아가 회복될 때까지 새 싱글의 출시를 잠정 연기할 것"이라고 성명은 덧붙였다.
HyunA began her singing career as a member of now-defunct K-pop girl group Wonder Girls in 2007, but quit in the same year. In 2009, she debuted as a member of girl group 4Minute, which disbanded in 2016.
현아는 2007년부터 K팝 걸그룹 원더걸스의 멤버로 가수 활동을 시작했으나 같은 해 탈퇴했다. 2009년에는 2016년 해체한 걸그룹 포미닛의 멤버로 데뷔했다.
She went solo in 2010 with the single "Change" and has released a series of hits including "Bubble Pop!" (2011). She revealed in 2018 that she has been dating singer DAWN, former member of boy band PENTAGON.
2010년 싱글 ‘체인지'로 솔로 활동을 시작했고, ‘버블팝!'(2011) 등 히트곡을 잇달아 내놓았다. 그녀는 2018년 아이돌 그룹 펜타곤의 전 멤버인 가수 던과 사귀고 있다고 밝혔다.
