Actress Oh In-hye, who was found unconscious at her home in Incheon on Monday, died in hospital on the same day. She was 36.
According to the police, she died at Inha University Hospital at 8:14 p.m., Monday, of cardiac arrest.
"We have found no reason to suspect murder and there were no signs of intrusion into Ms. Oh's house," a police spokesperson said. "It appears she made an extreme choice." The police said she was suffering from depression and her friend call the police after finding her unconscious in her home. They are still investigating to confirm the cause of death.
A memorial service will be held at Inha University Hospital until Wednesday.
Debuting in the film "Sin of a Family" in 2011, Oh appeared in both film and television shows such as "Red Vacance Black Wedding" (2011), "A Journey with Korean Masters" (2011) and "The Plan" (2014). She started a YouTube channel recently, uploading videos about her life and passing on her beauty and fashion knowledge. She also collaborated with singer-songwriter Nautilus to release the duet song "Sorry" in August. The day before she died, she uploaded a video of her skincare routine on YouTube.
Oh went viral in August after appearing on a famous YouTube channel featuring interviews with once-famous personalities. In the video, she shared her concerns about being typecast after wearing a particularly revealing dress at a film award ceremony in 2011 and she pledged to take any roles in a show or drama if the chance came.
