The release of the drama film "Stone Skipping," set for next Wednesday, has been canceled for the second time due to coronavirus concerns.

Film distributor Little Big Pictures said Wednesday that it will postpone the release indefinitely, along with the film's media events and interviews.

It originally scheduled a media screening for Wednesday and an interview with the lead actor Kim Dae-myung for the next day.

"We deeply apologize for canceling at such short notice," Little Big Pictures said.

The directorial debut film for director Kim Jung-sik premiered at the Busan International Film Festival in 2018 and was scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 9.

But as COVID-19 cases increased, the date was pushed to Sept. 30.

The film revolves around mentally challenged man Seok-gu (played by Kim), who runs a rice mill in a small village. One day, his world is turned upside-down when he encounters an incident at the mill.
