Singer Jung Ji-hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, is poised to make a solo comeback with his new mini-album "PIECES by RAIN."
비라는 예명으로 더 잘 알려진 가수 정지훈이 새 미니앨범 'PIECES by RAIN'으로 솔로 컴백을 앞두고 있다.
The artist's agency Sublime Artist Agency announced Wednesday that he will release the album on March 3.
가수 비의 소속사 써브라임아티스트에이전시는 수요일 비의 새 앨범이 3월 3일에 발매될 예정임을 발표했다.
The album will consist of five tracks, including "Switch to me," a duet with singer and producer Park Jin-young, which topped several music charts after its release on Dec. 31.
이 앨범은 지난해 12월 31일 발매 직후 여러 음악 차트에서 1위를 차지한 가수 겸 프로듀서 박진영과의 듀엣곡 ‘나로 바꾸자'를 포함한 5곡으로 구성된다.
"Each track will be a differently colored song with tempos that he has never tried before," the agency said. "The concept (of the album) is to put together the pieces that represent Rain as an artist into this one album."
소속사는 "각 트랙은 비가 한 번도 시도해보지 않은 템포의 다른 색깔의 노래가 될 것"이라며 "앨범의 컨셉은 아티스트로서의 비를 대표하는 곡들을 이번 앨범에 합치는 것"이라고 설명했다.
It added that Rain recently finished filming the music video for the album's lead single and is gearing up for the release.
비는 최근 이 앨범의 리드 싱글 뮤직비디오 촬영을 마치고 발매 준비를 하고 있다고 덧붙였다.
This will be his first solo project in over three years since he released the album "MY LIFE愛" in December 2017.
비의 이번 앨범은 2017년 12월 앨범 '마이 라이프'를 발표한 이후 3년여 만의 솔로 프로젝트다.
Rain debuted in 1998 with the album "FANCLUB" and floated to fame globally in the early 2000s. He has released several hits, including the mini-album "It's Raining," which sold over 1 million copies in Asia.
