K-pop girl band (G)I-DLE is making waves with its new track "Hwaa."
K팝 걸그룹 (여자)아이들이 신곡 '화'로 큰 파장을 불러일으키고 있다.
The six-piece act grabbed the No. 1 spot on Genie and Bugs' real-time charts with "Hwaa" soon after its release on Monday afternoon. This is the first time that the group has made such an achievement since its debut in 2018.
6명으로 구성된 이 그룹은 월요일 오후 신곡 '화'의 공개 직후 지니와 벅스의 실시간 음악차트에서 1위를 차지했다. 이 그룹이 2018년 데뷔 이후 이 같은 업적을 이뤄낸 것은 이번이 처음이다.
It was a dream come true for leader Soyeon, who said during an online album showcase that she hoped (G)I-DLE could top one of the major streaming charts with its fourth album, "I burn," fronted by "Hwaa."
이는 그룹 리더 소연의 꿈이 이루어진 순간이기도 하다. 소연은 온라인 앨범 쇼케이스에서 (여자)아이들이 타이틀곡 ‘화'를 앞세운 4집 앨범 ‘아이 번'으로 주요 실시간 차트에서 1위를 할 수 있기를 바란다고 말했다.
The song's music video chalked up more than six million views on YouTube as of Tuesday.

(G)I-DLE, is a multinational group with members Miyeon, Soojin and Soyeon coming from Korea, Minnie from Thailand, Yuqi from China and Shuhua from Taiwan.

It used two different Chinese characters to describe "Hwaa," with one meaning fire and the other a flower.
신곡 ‘화'를 표현하기 위해 두 개의 다른 한자를 사용했는데, 하나는 불을 의미하고 다른 하나는 꽃을 의미한다.
