A range of domestic defense products was on display at the country's largest specialized ground force defense industry exhibition held this week.

At the biennial Defense and Security Expo Korea (DX Korea) 2020, held Wednesday to Friday at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality (DTaQ), affiliated with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), presented defense products developed by eight domestic small- and medium-sized venture manufacturers.

The companies drew attention among foreign defense industry officials for presenting devices that could help military members in field operations, such as anti-drone jammers, drone motors with waterproof and dustproof functions, portable X-ray systems that can take immediate action for those injured, hydraulic expansion vans that can be used in the field and military water canteens with improved functions in terms of keeping water warm.

According to DTaQ, the agency has been actively engaged in talks to promote and export the displayed products to foreign partners from various countries, including Egypt, Oman, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the U.S., China, Japan, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand and European countries.

Meanwhile, more than 210 domestic and foreign defense companies have participated in DX Korea 2020 to promote their state-of-the-art ground weapon system defense products.
