Last month, the debut of SM Entertainment's new girl group, 'Aespa', drew a lot of attention.
The group attracted such special attention because the members debuted alongside their own AI avatars.
People were incredibly surprised to see AI avatars debut in the K-pop industry.
Lee Soo-man, the president of Aespa's agency, SM Entertainment, said:
"The group is what I've dreamed of, as it projects a future world centered on celebrities and avatars, transcending the boundaries between real and virtual worlds."
In fact, there are already virtual human beings, characters with such "personality" all around us.
