YG Entertainment's rookie group, TREASURE, has topped Japan's major Line Music chart for six-consecutive days with its new single "BOY".
YG엔터테인먼트의 신인 보이그룹 트레저가 선공개곡 'BOY'로 일본 최대 음원 사이트 라인뮤직 차트에서 6일 연속 정상을 밟았다.
The agency announced Thursday that the song rose to first place about one hour after its March 10 release and has been soaring on the chart. It also topped the platform's weekly chart from March 10 to 16.
목요일 소속사는 이 곡이 이달 10일 공개 직후 약 1시간 만에 1위로 올라섰으며 차트에서 급상승하고 있다고 발표했다. 또한 이달 10일부터 16일까지 이 플랫폼의 주간 차트 1위를 차지했다.
This is the first time the group has topped the music charts in the country with a Japanese-language song.
이 그룹이 일본어로 된 노래로 일본 음원차트에서 1위를 차지한 것은 이번이 처음이다.
"BOY" is one of the tracks for TREASURE'S upcoming debut album, "THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT," in Japan, set to hit the shelves March 31. The album will have 13 tracks.

Four tracks from the album ― "BOY," "I LOVE YOU," "MMM," and "MY TREASURE" ― were pre-released prior to the album's official launch, raising expectations among fans for the group's debut in Japan.
