K-pop act The Boyz is gearing up to release a new mini-album in late summer.

The 11-piece act will roll out its sixth mini-album in August, according to its management company, Cre.ker Entertainment, on Monday.

It is the group's first mini-album since its appearance on Mnet's "Kingdom: Legendary War," a popular competition show featuring six high-profile K-pop boy bands: BTOB, iKON, SF9, Stray Kids, ATEEZ and The Boyz. On the program, which ended earlier this month, The Boyz grabbed the No. 2 spot with its engrossing performances, after only Stray Kids.

Cre.ker said that more details about the mini-album, such as its title and the track list, will be disclosed in the coming days.

"The Boyz, which has showcased a range of concepts since its debut, will display its as yet undiscovered sides in the upcoming release," the company added.

The Boyz, consisting of Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Hak-nyeon, Sunwoo and Eric, made its debut in 2017 with the song, "Boy." Last September, its fifth album "CHASE" ― fronted by the lead single "The Stealer" ― hit 210,000 pre-orders, a 338-percent increase compared to its previous release, "REVEAL."
