The beautiful, vibrant colors of fall foliage are not to be missed and the city government has provided a list of 109 Seoul locations where you can enjoy stunning views. Here are some of the destinations that offer colorful trees to fill up a perfect autumn day.

Riverside

Riverside parks flanking the Hangang River and branching streams across the city are packed with trees with foliage in red, orange and yellow. Places not to miss include: Songjeong riverbank between Seongdonggyo Bridge and Gunjagyo Bridge; Jungnangcheon riverbank from the Seongdonggyo Bridge intersection to the Gunjagyo Bridge intersection; Hongjecheon riverbank in Seodaemun-gu; Anyangcheon riverbank in Guro-gu, and Yeouido Hangang Park near the National Assembly in Yeongdeungpo-gu.

Streets

Trees along the famous walkway by the stonewall surrounding the Deoksugung Palace from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) are decorated with fluorescent leaves, making it a must-go place for an autumn date in Jung-gu. Streets in Itaewon district in Yongsan-gu, popular for expats and nightlife seekers, are also among excellent destinations to view colorful foliage. And there's a wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops selling fashion items and souvenirs to enjoy too. Samcheong-dong Street in Jongno-gu, famous for its centuries-old traditional Korean houses, "hanok," is filled with trees sporting brilliant-yellow, russet-red and pumpkin-orange leaves.

It may not be fair to single out one park, but Namsan Mountain is definitely a popular destination as autumn hues sweep its slopes, making it a favorite spot for a relaxing walk or jog. Vivid fall foliage also is blooming over Seoul Grand Park in the city of Gwacheon; at Songpa Naru Park surrounding Seokchon Lake, next to Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, and at Olympic Park, a few minutes on foot from Songpa Naru Park.
