Idol singer Kang Daniel has taken over New York’s Times Square with a giant ad to celebrate his birthday.

The display was a present from fans to mark his 22nd birthday on Dec. 10. The ad shows footage from the singer’s music video and promotional photos, along with a message from fans: “Truly, Madly, Deeply Happy Birthday to Kang Daniel.”

The videos will be played until Dec. 11.

His fans also placed ads in over 30 subways stations in Seoul and Busan, the idol’s hometown.

Times Square has some of the most expensive billboards in the world. It costs between $1.1 million and $4 million a year to buy ad space there, according to Business Insider. Over 100 million people walk through the square a year.

Previously, Chinese fans of K-pop group “Exo” and “Twice” rented Times Square ad space to mark 100 days since their debut.

Kang is part of 11-member project boy band “Wanna One.” The band debuted on popular idol audition TV series “Produce 101: Season 2” in April and have been working under the management of YMC Entertainment and CJ E&M.
