K-pop band Monsta X kicked off its third world concert tour "We are Here" at Seoul SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium on Saturday.

About 5,000 fans attended the concert and sang along with the songs.

Three members ― Minhyuk, Kihyun and Hyungwon ― performed in suits and ties singing "Myself." It was followed by the two rappers, Joohoney and I.M, singing "Sambakja," or three beats.

Leader, Shownu, and Wonho presented "Mirror" to finish their collaboration performance.

The highlight of the concert came when they performed "Fallin'." The performers and their fans shot water guns together to cultivate a festive mood. The excited crowd requested encores over and over again and the boy band performed the same song five times.

The seven members showed their talents ― Wonho performed taekwondo kicks, Kihyun mesmerized his fans by playing piano, followed by Joohoney's drum performance. Hyungwon lifted the already exciting atmosphere further with his DJing skills.

Near the end of their concert, the seven members became emotional and shed tears when they thanked their devoted fans.

Wonho said, "Sometimes I am afraid because I am so happy but someday, without you, Monbebe, I will be nothing." Monbebe is the name of their fan club. Kihyun spoke about the tough times he had to endure after he debuted. He said he is a perfectionist and this trait made things very difficult. "I was not able to sing very well for two years after the debut... I just couldn't. But because of you, I can sing because you guys always complement me. You changed me and my character."

Since 2017, the band has traveled around the world to perform every year and this helped them improve their hosting and presentation skills. They also know how to entertain audiences.

During the press conference, group member Minhyuk spoke frankly about the band's first world tour, "We were so busy on our first world tour since we did not have any prior experience and the second tour, we kept talking with the staff to improve our performances. We learned a lot and we feel our shows have improved."

Joohoney added, "On our first world tour, we focused on presenting our band to people. On our second tour, we learned the importance of interacting with the fans. From this third tour, I think we know how to perform."

The band members also have a desire to communicate and empathize with their supportive fans worldwide. Minhyuk commented, "We share our daily lives and post selfies on social media because we always keep in mind how our fans are waiting for someone whom they cannot see often, that we know it is hard."

With the Seoul concert, the band will tour around 18 cities in Asia, Oceania, Europe, South and North America from June 1 to Aug. 10. In September, the band will also join iHeartRadio Music Festival 2019 in Las Vegas where they will meet Steve Aoki, with whom they have close ties after their previous collaboration on "Play It Cool."

The youngest member I.M also plans to release a solo mixtape. It's a few steps away from the fierce and passionate sounds of Monsta X, with sexier slow-tempo songs. "I cannot promise you an exact date but it will be shortly after the tour. I collaborated with a foreign artist and the lyrics are all in English," he said.
