In order to save them time and trouble, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has come up with the top five places around the Han River where people can enjoy the full moon and celebrate one of the nation's biggest and most important holidays.

The four-day Chuseok holiday starts today.

E-Land Cruise will run an Ani-Music Cruise and a Hangawi Story Cruise throughout the long weekend. Families with kids are able to take pictures with characters dressed in special clothes on the cruise, make wishes to the full moon and enjoy live performances. In addition, the Hangawi Fireworks Cruise will have a fireworks event so that passengers can enjoy a special evening celebration.

Seoul Battleship Park is the perfect place for family visitors to enjoy the full moon. Located in Mangwon Hangang Park, it is one of the best sites to view the sunset. Visitors can view the setting sun before seeing the full moon.

For a date under the full moon with a beautiful night view of the river, cafes located on the Han River bridges are strongly recommended. Visitors can view the moon while enjoying a casual meal or drink at a cafe. Located upstream and downstream of Dongjak Bridge, Gureum Cafe and Noeul Cafe boast magnificent views.

There is also Cafe Rio upstream of Hangang Bridge and Cafe Nodeul downstream, where the sunset and night views of downtown Seoul can be seen with 63 Building in the background.

Sebitseom, famous for its beautiful night scenery, is the best place to enjoy night views of the Han River, while Seorae Island is an ideal place to take a walk under the bright full moon.
