K-pop boy band BTS will ring in the new year performing at the United States' most-watched New Year's Eve concert, the special program's organizer has said.
K팝 아이돌그룹 방탄소년단이 새해에 미국에서 가장 많은 시청률을 자랑하는 새해 전야 무대에서 공연한다고 이 프로그램의 기획자가 말했다.
"Making 2020 right by ringing in the new year with BTS! Join us live from Times Square on New Year's Eve," the organizer of "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2020" said on its Facebook page on Tuesday.
'딕 클라크스 뉴이어스 로킹 이브 위드 라이언 시크레스트 2020'의 주최 측은 "방탄소년단과 함께 신년을 맞이하자! 새해 전날 뉴욕 타임스스퀘어 생방송으로 함께 하자"고 알렸다.
The special New Year's Eve program this year will air concerts from Times Square in New York and three other American cities ― New Orleans, Los Angeles and Miami ― from the night of Dec. 31 till the early morning of Jan. 1.
올해의 신년 맞이 특별 무대는 뉴욕 타임스스퀘어와 미국 3개 도시(뉴올리언스, 로스앤젤레스, 마이애미)에서 열리며 12월 31일 밤부터 1월 1일 새벽까지 방영된다.
The Times Square leg will also feature performances by American rapper Post Malone, singer-songwriters Sam Hunt and Alanis Morissette, according to the organizer.
타임스스퀘어 공연에는 미국의 래퍼 포스트 말론, 싱어송라이터 샘 헌트, 앨라니스 모리셋의 공연도 선보일 예정이라고 주최 측은 전했다.
The show will broadcast live on American channel ABC.
이번 무대는 미국 ABC방송을 통해 생중계된다.
BTS appeared on the New Year's Eve show in 2017, but through a pre-filmed video.
방탄소년단은 2017년 새해 전야제에 출연했지만, 이는 사전 촬영된 영상이었다.
Ahead of the U.S. appearance, BTS will join two local year-end TV concert shows by SBS and KBS on Dec. 25 and 27 respectively. (Yonhap)
