Chen, lead vocalist of K-pop band EXO, is to wed his girlfriend, the star announced Monday. His bride-to-be is known to have little to do with the entertainment industry.
K팝 그룹 엑소의 리드 보컬인 첸이 여자친구와 결혼할 예정이라고 월요일 발표했다. 예비 신부는 연예계와는 별 관계가 없는 일반인으로 알려졌다.
Chen hinted in his surprise announcement that they were expecting a baby.
첸은 깜짝 발표에서 여자친구가 임신했음을 넌지시 알렸다.
"I have a girlfriend, who I want to share rest of my life with," the singer, 27, said in a hand-written letter to his fans on his agency SM Entertainment's official community board. "While I was discussing with other EXO members and company officials about delivering the news (on my girlfriend,) a 'blessing' came to us." Many speculate that the blessing refers to a baby.
첸(27)은 소속사 SM엔터테인먼트의 공식 커뮤니티 게시판에 "저에게 평생을 함께하고 싶은 여자친구가 있다"고 손편지를 통해 밝혔다. "(여자친구의 소식을 전하기 위해) 다른 엑소 멤버들과 회사 관계자들과 상의를 하던 중 '축복'이 찾아왔다"고 말했다. 많은 사람들은 편지 속에 언급된 축복이 아기를 의미한다고 추측한다.
"I didn't' want to take more time, so decided to take the courage," he added. "I am thankful to my members for their good wishes, and I want to thank my fans for their love. I will keep striving to reciprocate the love."

SM, representing EXO, confirmed the star's marriage without revealing the date, saying, "Chen will tie the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend. Further details about his marriage will not be disclosed to public."
엑소의 소속사 SM엔터테인먼트 측은 "첸은 연예인 아닌 일반인 여자친구와 결혼한다"라며 날짜를 밝히지 않고 첸의 결혼을 확인했다. 첸의 결혼에 대한 자세한 내용은 공개되지 않을 예정이다.
Chen debuted as a member of EXO in 2012. The group recently released its sixth studio album "OBSESSION."
