Singer Yoon Doo-joon, leader of K-pop boy band Highlight, will return to the K-pop scene after his discharge from mandatory military service in April.
Around US Entertainment, the artist's agency, announced his upcoming project Monday, saying, "Yoon will release his solo album on July 27."
This will be the singer's first solo act, since his debut in 2009.
Yoon gave a sneak peek of his upcoming album during live-streaming on Saturday.
"I would say this album will give a sense of comfort in difficult times," he said.
The singer debuted in 2009 as leader of boy group BEAST, which was renamed Highlight in 2017 after Jang Hyun-seung left.
Yoon is the first in the group to be discharged from the military, with the others ― Yang Yo-seob, Song Dong-woon, and Lee Gi-kwang ― still serving.
Since his discharge, the singer has been appearing in TV shows, including tvN's food reality show "Restaurant on 2 Wheels."
