Herbalife Nutrition Korea hosted a webinar under the title of "e-Wellness Tour" on Nov. 19, inviting healthcare professionals, food science experts and relevant government authorities in an effort to share insights on nutrition and health issues, the Korean unit of the global nutrition company said Monday.

The company held the virtual seminar as part of its "Get Moving with Good Nutrition" campaign. The e-Wellness Tour webinar ― a first for the company ― had the goal to share key insights on nutrition and pertinent health issues built on the company's expertise as an industry leader, the company said.

"The event was more meaningful as the Get Moving with Good Nutrition campaign, which aims to encourage good nutrition and lifestyle habits among various communities in the country, was held in conjunction with the company's 40th anniversary," the company said.

Herbalife Nutrition Korea livestreamed the event via herbalifekorea.tv, its online streaming platform.

Kicking off with congratulatory messages from Dr. Kent L. Bradley, Herbalife Nutrition Chief Health and Nutrition officer, and Kim Kwang-won, president of the Korean Diabetes Society, the event dealt with themes including "Key Findings from 2020 Asia Pacific Nutrition Myths and Healthy Aging Survey" and "Healthy Aging and Antioxidation."

Kim SeungWook, Senior Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Herbalife Nutrition Korea, also spoke about nutrition myths and a healthy aging survey conducted back in May across five Asia-Pacific countries including Korea.

The survey showed 95 percent of consumers in the region feel it is important to receive nutrition advice in order to achieve positive health outcomes and benefits. The findings also revealed that 96 percent of Korean consumers said nutrition companies should participate in providing quality nutrition information in their respective markets.

Dr. David Heber, chairman of the Herbalife Nutrition Institute (HNI), also shared in-depth knowledge on healthy aging, highlighting the important role played by protein and exercise in the aging process.

The company held the webinar "because our survey result showed that there is a strong demand for quality nutrition information/advice both healthcare professionals and consumers can rely on," said Chung YoungHee, General Manager and Vice President of Herbalife Nutrition Korea.

"As a premier global nutrition company, Herbalife Nutrition Korea will provide various quality nutrition information for the health benefits of the general public through various channels such as this webinar since more people nowadays pay more attention to a healthy immune system."
