Microsoft Korea introduced its organizational culture and various positions in the company through its Teams business communication platform, Friday, for jobseekers here who are looking for regular jobs and internship openings.
지난 금요일 한국마이크로소프트는 신입사원 및 인턴쉽을 찾는 구직자들을 위해 조직문화와 다양한 직무를 마이크로소프트 협업 플랫폼 팀즈를 통해 소개했다.
The two-hour online event, called "Unbox, Explore, Celebrate," was held to identify talented jobseekers who are well-suited for the era of "hybrid working," according to the U.S. tech giant's Korean subsidiary.
한국마이크로소프트에 따르면 2시간 동안 진행되는 "Unbox, Explore, Celebrate" 온라인 채용설명회가 "하이브리드 업무" 시대에 적합한 유능한 인재를 발굴하기 위해 개최됐다고 밝혔다.
"Because hybrid working is free from physical environments, such as locations and devices, and maximized flexibility has become the form of futuristic working, human beings have become more important than ever before," Microsoft Korea Country Manager Lee Ji-eun said in a press release. "Amid the extreme unemployment crisis caused by the prolonged pandemic, we hope that our job fair becomes an opportunity for young, talented people to grow further."
이지은 한국마이크로소프트 대표는 보도 자료에서 "일하는 위치(장소)나 사용하는 기계 등 물리적 환경으로부터 자유로우면서 유연성이 극대화된 하이브리드 업무가 미래 근무 형태로 자리잡았기에 인적 자원이 어느 때보다 중요해졌다"며 "코로나19 장기화로 극심한 취업난이 지속되는 가운데, 이번 채용설명회가 젊고 유능한 인재들에게 더욱 성장할 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다"고 말했다.
During the event, Lee and Microsoft Korea employees shared about their experiences and explained the company's recruitment process in detail.
이번 온라인 채용설명회 기간 동안, 이 대표를 비롯한 한국마이크로소프트 임직원들은 경험을 공유하고 채용 과정에 대해 상세히 설명했다.
In particular, a technology expert and a corporate trainer introduced Microsoft's newest technologies, as well as ways to learn skills needed in the era of hybrid working, through its online learning platform, Microsoft Learn.
특히 기술 전문가와 기업 교육 담당자는 마이크로소프트의 최신 기술을 소개했으며, 온라인 학습 플랫폼인 ‘마이크로소프트 런'을 통해 하이브리드 업무 시대에 필요한 스킬을 함양하는 방법도 소개했다.
Microsoft Korea's new employees also talked about their work.
한국마이크로소프트 신입사원들도 업무에 대해 이야기했다.
The company said that participants in the event will be able to participate in its "HackaLearn" event, which will be held online for two weeks from Aug. 2.
온라인 채용설명회 참석자는 8월 2일부터 2주간 온라인으로 열리는 "해커런(HackaLearn)"에 참여할 수 있다고 회사 측은 밝혔다.
The "HackaLearn"― which comes from a portmanteau of "hackathon" and "learn" ― has been designed to develop and share new technologies, by letting programmers and designers collaborate intensively on software projects, according to Microsoft.
마이크로소프트에 따르면 "hackathon(해커톤)"과 "learn(런)"의 합성어인 "해커런(HackaLearn)"은 프로그래머와 디자이너가 소프트웨어 프로젝트에 집중적으로 협력할 수 있도록 하여 최신 기술을 개발하고 공유하도록 계획되었다.
