Modern craftsmen help keep traditional arts and crafts alive

Korea's traditional arts and crafts have a rich history dating back thousands of years. Whether it be handmade papers called Hanji, small plates that hold side dishes like Soban, and traditional Gats worn by the nobility, many of these items are rarities that are mostly found in a museum these days.
The Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation is holding a 3-week exhibition that also features the work of modern craftsman who are helping to keep these age-old transitions alive. The exhibit will open from November 24th to December 15th at the Space B-E Gallery in Seoul.
