The new Disney+ Korean original series "Han River" (direct translation), starring actor Kwon Sang-woo, will hit the streaming platform in the latter half of this year, the streaming service announced, Monday.

The new crime procedural series will center on police officers at a precinct that patrols the Han River, dealing with crimes along the river.

"The Han River is a communal area where people can enjoy recreational sports and relax. As the park's police officers work to keep people safe by solving cases and issues that occur in the area, it will introduce things that we've never known about the place and offer a variety of elements to enjoy," the streaming platform said in a press release.

Kwon will play the role of Han Doo-jin, a hot-tempered sergeant at the precinct, and actor Kim Hee-won will play his co-worker, Lee Chun-seok, who has a completely opposite personality. This will be the second time the two will star together, after the 2019 action film "The Divine Move 2: The Wrathful."

Actress Bae Da-bin will take on the role of police officer Do Na-hee who has a crush on Han.
