SPC Group introduced Paris Baguette on U.S. cable news channel FOX NEWS, Tuesday (local time), to increase the brand image of its bakery chain in the world's largest consumer market, the company said Thursday.

During the three-hour morning news show "FOX & Friends" broadcasted live at FOX Squares in Manhattan, New York, the anchors and members of the public tasted Paris Baguette's cake, bread and pastries.

Paris Baguette Americas CEO Darren Tipton also appeared at the news show to brief on the company's current status and vision of its business in the region.

"Since our first entry in the U.S. market in 2005, Paris Baguette promoted its products mainly in small communities targeting local consumers to raise awareness of its brand," a SPC official said. "However, as the brand grew rapidly to open 130 stores in 27 states, the company felt the need to raise its awareness nationwide."

As part of the marketing plan, Paris Baguette officially sponsored LPGA Mizuho Americas Open held at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey, from June 1 to 4.

"We will continue to promote the brand image of Paris Baguette globally, which operates 4,000 stores around the world," the official added.

Paris Baguette plans to sign 160 additional franchise store contracts in the U.S., this year. By 2030, the bakery chain aims to open 1,000 stores throughout the North American region.
