Ferrari, Harley-Davidson and Volvo Trucks were ordered to recall their vehicles here because of various product defects, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Thursday.

FMK, which imports and sells high-priced Italian sports cars in Korea, has been ordered to call back a total of 27 vehicles because the driver-side airbags could explode at a wrong angle, which can harm those behind the steering wheel. FMK is Ferrari's official dealer, affiliated with Hyosung Group.

The vehicles to be recalled include 18 Ferrari California Ts, four Speciale 458s, and two Speciale A's. The cars were all manufactured between March 10 and June 19, the ministry said.

FMK is also calling back two LaFerrari sports cars, assembled between March 15, 2014 and March 4, 2015, because they did not meet auto safety regulations for faulty head restraints.

"The defect could cause an injury at the time of accidents," a ministry official said. "They were also found to be equipped with erroneous tire pressure sensors, which could cause fatal accidents if the vehicles run on low tire pressure."

People owning Ferrari vehicles subject to the recall can have their cars repaired free of charge at auto body shops run by FMK across the country from Aug. 28.

In addition, Kiheung Motors, the Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealer here, will recall a total of 943 motorcycles in 13 models, including the 266 FLHX Street Glide and 192 FLHRC Road King.

The bolts which hold saddlebags installed on the rear wheel steady were found to be defective, as some fell off while running on the road, according to the ministry.

The vehicles subject to the recall were manufactured between March 3, 2013 and May 26, 2015. Riders can have their motorcycles fixed at Kiheung Motors' service centers for free.

Volvo Trucks Korea has also been ordered to recall 111 FH/FM trucks for defective bolts that hold front axle springs tight. This was found to have caused abnormal noise and adversely affected steering performance.

The trucks were produced between Nov. 11, 2014 and April 10, 2015. The owners can have them repaired for free at the truck-maker's service centers.

"Those responsible for the latest recalls have to inform vehicles owners by mail. If the motorists already had their cars fixed for the defects, FMK, Kiheung Motors and Volvo Trucks have to reimburse the expenses," the official said.

For more information on the recalls, call FMK at 02-3433-0880, Kiheung Motors at 070-7405-8220 and Volvo Trucks Korea at 080-038-1000.
