The July 8 Sinchon Water Gun Festival has upset residents after revelers left rubbish-strewn streets and overflowing trash cans.

Sinchon, western Seoul, turned into a water park with participants, some in raincoats, firing water guns at each other.

However, the water guns and raincoats were thrown away and fast food leftovers were strewn in the street.

Pedestrians and stores nearby complained that their properties were wet and the streets dirty.
