Cube Entertainment ousted its two popular K-pop musicians ― HyunA and E'DAWN ― on Thursday, citing "broken mutual trust," in a rare visible conflict between an agency and hot musicians.

"For us, trust has been the first priority in managing artists," Cube said. "But after having several discussions, we decided to expel HyunA and E'DAWN, since we could not restore trust with the pair."

In August, the agency denied rumors the two had been dating, but the pair disclosed their romantic relationship one day later, dealing a blow to their agency's credibility. In an apparent penalty, the agency suspended their public activities at home and abroad.

It is unknown if there was another issue between the couple and Cube, which the latter believes has broken their mutual trust.
