Minor earthquake rattles Daejeon

A minor 2.1-magnitude earthquake rattled Daejeon early Monday. There were no reports of damage or casualties.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), the quake happened at 3:34 a.m. about eight kilometers northwest of the city, at a depth of 20 kilometers.

"Sensitive people felt the tremor," a KMA official said. "We received several phone calls asking about this."
