Japanese porn star Shimiken has launched a YouTube channel in Korean in what is considered a move to expand his business into a neighboring country.
Shimiken TV's first clip “(I) will convey you useful information” was posted on Feb. 5 and has already garnered 769,000 views.
The second clip, released three days later, introduces Shimiken's handpicked 10 best foods for men. It has drawn a staggering 1.2 million views.
The channel also has collected more than 218,000 subscribers in only a week.
Shimiken is seeking collaboration with top Korean YouTubers such as Bokyem in an apparent effort to promote himself to Korean netizens.
“You and I are in different countries. But the sense of preciousness, interest and passion toward sex may be the same because it's a universal issue,” Shimiken says in Japanese in the Korean-subtitled first video. “In this channel I will discuss all kinds of your concerns about sex and try to offer the best solution I can think of.”
Shimiken, born in 1979, is one of the most prolific porn stars in Japan, starring in nearly 10,000 porn videos in his 21-year career.
