Spanish football team FC Barcelona commemorated the Sewol tragedy on April 16, 2015, by posting an image standing for the doomed ferry on its Facebook page.
Numerous subscribers shared the image and left comments renewing their feelings on the loss of 304 lives, mostly high school students,
"Thank you FC Barcelona," a netizen wrote in Korean.
Another netizen wrote, "This is a real big (football) club, which deserves respect."
FC Barcelona's Facebook page has 102 million subscribers.
