The marriage between two of Korea's top actors -- Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo -- formally ended Monday as the court approved a divorce settlement for the high-profile couple.
The Seoul Family Court said it held a closed-door hearing for the divorce arrangement, with only the legal representatives of the two stars in attendance -- and approved the split.
The court did not provide details of the settlement.
The settlement came 25 days after Song Joong-ki sought a divorce to end his 20-month marriage to Song Hye-kyo.
“I can't give further details about the settlement,” a spokesman for the family court said. “Given that the conclusion was made in a relative short period of time, I believe both sides reached an agreement on all conditions (for divorce) before actor Song raised the issue.”
Shortly after the verdict, Song Hye-kyo's agency issued a statement, saying their divorce was approved with nobody claiming alimony or property division.
The celebrities married in October 2017 after they met through the mega-hit TV drama "Descendants of the Sun" in 2016.
