The husband of actress Lee Tae-im has been jailed for financial fraud.

According to reports, the Seoul High Court sentenced her husband to 18 months' jail on July 11. He had received a suspended jail term at his first trial.

He was charged in March last year with taking illegal gains by artificially inflating the stock prices of targeted companies. Further details were not available immediately.

There was little information about Lee's husband, but he is 12 years older and an expert on mergers and acquisitions.

Lee, 33, married him shortly after announcing her retirement from the entertainment scene in March 2018. She gave a birth to a baby in September and has since maintained a low profile.
