Polish Airlines LOT is scheduled to launch direct flights between Incheon and Budapest starting Sept. 22. The 12 hour-flight will be offered three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. from Incheon, on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

"We are going to inaugurate the flight to LOT's first destination in Asia ― from Hungary to Seoul. It is yet another milestone in LOT's history. I am certain that our services will meet the expectations of Hungarians and Koreans," Rafał Milczarski, CEO of LOT, said.

He said the tourism and business potential between Budapest and Seoul was huge, with about 70,000 traveling between the two destinations per year currently through stopovers, and the number of passengers traveling annually between Seoul and Central and Eastern Europe exceeds 750,000.

The LOT Dreamliner will have three travel classes available from Incheon ― Business, Premium Economy and Economy ― and will feature Korean food and entertainment programs to better suite local tastes.
