Korean songwriter Yoo Jae-hwan is in hospital with a high fever that is apparently a side effect of his extreme diet.
Yoo, a regular on popular talk shows, drew a lot of attention when he lost 32 kilograms on a diet he started in April.
Photos of him before and after his weight loss appeared online en masse. But his slim looks came with a cost as his health showed signs of deterioration. The irony was that he went on a diet to get healthy, but that diet apparently made him sick.
News of his hospitalization came on the heels of publicity about his diet success.
